Karen has started a video blog to discuss Daoist medicine, a form of classical Chinese medicine, and its fascinating history. She wants to make others aware of the many meridian systems available to the classical practitioner that are unknown in the modern, communist form of Chinese medicine known rather misleadingly as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
There is absolutely nothing wrong with TCM, it is just very incomplete. It lacks the most powerful tools available to acupuncturists, including the Divergent Meridians, the Luo Vessels (there are at least five different specialties in medicine that use the Luo Vessels in unique ways) and the Sinew Meridians, as well as the more profound uses of the Eight Extra Meridians.
You may find yourself falling in love with Daoist medicine! It is not only powerful medicine, it represents a pragmatic, meaningful and even beautiful philosophy of life.
Classical Chinese medicine is a very complex, broad and deep form of medicine that has been practiced for over 2000 years. China was THE world power for all but the last 600 years, and her arts and sciences were highly developed. (Who knew? It certainly isn't taught in Western school curriculums.)
